Introduction
Mappers and Connectors in thatapp.io are tools designed to seamlessly integrate your Podio data and your local databases (e.g., MySQL or PGSQL). These features help in data extraction, synchronization, and storage.
Mappers: Define and customize the specific fields and structure of your data to fit your target database.
Connectors: Build a bridge between your thatapp.io database and local storage systems, ensuring a stable and functional data flow.
Together, they streamline backup and data management processes.
Navigating to Mappers and Connectors in the Sync Dashboard
Log in to thatapp.io and access the Sync Dashboard.
Locate the Database Backup Module from the side navigation menu.
βClick Connectors to create or manage your data connections.
To access Mappers, navigate to the Connectors Table, locate the connector you want, and click the database icon to manage or create Mappers.
How Mappers and Connectors Work Together
Connectors are created first to establish the connection to the database.
Once the connection is active, you can use Mappers to define which app and data sets to transfer to your database.
This allows you to selectively back up or sync specific records, improving efficiency and avoiding unnecessary data duplication.
Why Mappers and Connectors are Important
Flexibility: Customize data synchronization to meet your organization's needs.
Reliability: Maintain data integrity across systems.
Efficiency: Eliminate manual data management with automated backups.
