Overview
The Application Resync Assistant allows authorized Sync subscribers to initiate a complete resynchronization of a Podio application directly from within Podio.
This eliminates the need to sign in to the ThatApp.io dashboard, providing a faster and safer way to ensure your app’s backup and sync state are fully current before making significant changes.
When to Use It
Resyncing is recommended whenever:
You plan to restructure an app (add, rename, or delete fields).
You intend to import data via Excel or another bulk process.
You expect large-scale automation updates that could affect many items.
You suspect an app’s sync data may be out of alignment after recent modifications.
By running a full resync, AVA confirms that your Sync Backup Database accurately reflects every item, field, file, and comment in the application.
How to Trigger a Resync
Create a Task in Podio
Go to any item within the app you want to resync.
Create a new task and assign it to AVA.
Set the task title to “Resync Application.”
(Optional) Add a Description
Include any relevant details (e.g., “Resync before bulk import,” “Resync after structure change”).
Wait for Confirmation
AVA will detect the task, verify the app context, and begin a full resynchronization.
Once complete, she will add a task comment confirming that the sync is finished and up to date.
Result
The entire Podio application is revalidated and backed up in real time.
Any outdated or missing records in the Sync Backup Database are restored or corrected.
System metrics are refreshed for use in automation, reporting, and AI enrichment.
Recognized Task Titles
The following task titles will all trigger this process:
Resync Application
Full Application Resync
Refresh App Sync
Force App Sync
Note
This operation does not change or overwrite any live Podio data. It only ensures the external Sync Backup and internal application metadata are current.
AVA will always confirm completion in the task comment feed once the process has finished.
